Our Story
For over 15 years, Leila Achir has dedicated her life to surfing, competing in national competitions and becoming a certified coach through the Moroccan Surf Federation. Along the way, she discovered that many women dreamed of learning to surf but were looking for a place where they could feel safe, supported and truly welcome.
As her daughter Hiba grew up by the ocean, surfing became more than a shared passion—it became a way of life. Together, they created SheSurfMorocco, a space where two generations share the same mission: helping women and girls discover the confidence, freedom and joy that come from being in the ocean.
Today, SheSurfMorocco is more than surf coaching. It is a welcoming community where every woman, whether catching her first wave or building new skills, is encouraged to grow at her own pace in a professional, family-oriented environment.
SheSurfMorocco was born from a lifelong passion for the ocean.

Leila Achir,Founder & Head Coach
Hiba Achir is a filmmaker, visual storyteller, and former competitive bodyboard and bodysurf athlete. Holding a Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Cinematography, she combines creative expertise with her deep connection to the ocean to create authentic visual stories that capture the energy, emotion, and spirit of the surf community.
Certified by the Moroccan Surf Federation, Leila Achir has over 15 years of surfing experience and has competed in numerous national competitions. Through SheSurfMorocco, she shares her passion by helping women and girls discover the ocean in a safe, supportive and professional environment where confidence grows with every wave.
